
Robotics Software Engineer with focus on advanced controls and application development
Life Science Robotics would like to add a talented and experienced Robotics Software Engineer to our team as we are developing a new exiting product that will be a world’s first and will revolutionize the medical device sector within its field. For this we need a strong Robotics Software Engineer to join our R&D team.
We have developed the unique rehabilitation robot ROBERT® which secures early mobilization to patients at hospitals and rehab centres worldwide.
Our new Robotics Software Engineer will have the role to be the lead developer in a new project to be launched in 2024. Within this role you will be responsible for:
• Collaboration with the end users and incorporate their needs into the product
• Develop a complex yet intuitive control of a robotic arm
• Manage the integration of different system components
• Test and document the development according to medical device standards
Your professional qualifications
• Have excellent skills in the following:
– JAVA and C++ preferably also to have one of the other languages like C#, or Python
– UDP and TCP/IP and understanding the Network communication via LAN Technology
– Understanding the robot technology hereunder the robot axes of motion
• Computer Vision and Control Theory.
• Experienced in real time system is a plus.
• Awareness about cyber security is a plus.
• Fluent in English is a must as all our documentation and communication is in English.
• You have 3-10 years of experience within the field of robotics.
• Though not a requirement, but a strong plus, would be if you are familiar within the field of medical device development, including awareness to IEC 62304 (Software life cycle), ISO 13485 (Quality Management) and ISO 14971 (Risk Management), IEC 60601-1 (Electrical safety), IEC 62366-1 (Usability).

You like to push technology in new directions, and you do not back down for complex tasks. We are a start-up company undergoing a super exciting period, but this also requires great commitment and dedicated team members. Background: We imagine you have an education in Robotics, Application Development or Health Tech Science. Experience in programming robotics is a strong asset.
